Thanks. I didn't realize anyone had started a C&C Group Blog. Can I get authorship on there if you've figured out how to pass that on yet? Thanks.

Yep, I created it not even two days ago. Sure, I'll go ahead and give you authorship!

Done! Next time you can post straight to here. Or you can post to Oppo and share it to here. Either way is fine.

Is this the one in Spartanburg? I'm in Columbia and just found out about this one. This gives me more reason to get out there. Our C&C still needs some work.

I believe this one is in Greenville, or at least closer to Greenville than Spartanburg.

Thanks, not overly far, and looks like it'd be worth it. What kind of camera did you use?

It's right smack in-between Greenville and Spartanburg, just off of I-85. It's at Michelin Headquarters.
And I'm shooting with a Canon 6D, usually with a 24-105L f/4.

These aren't my pictures, but based on the information from his flickr, he used a Canon EOS 6D, which is not a cheap camera.

Random photography question for you - I currently have an 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 and a 55-300 f/4.5-5.6. What would you recommend getting next lenswise? 50mm f/1.8? I primarily use it for cars & coffee and family events.

Yes, the 50mm 1.8 is a lens I've used a lot over the past few years that I've had it. When I upgraded from my Digital Rebel XTi (400D) to a 60D, then again up to my 6D, I've held onto the 50 and the 35 that I have. The 50 is an amazing lens, especially considering the price! I haven't used the 35 as much. I guess I generally get comfortable with a lens and do most things with it. Since I bought the 6D with the 24-105L, I've gotten used to zooming again. It's nice, but so is having a good little prime. For about $120 I don't think you can beat the 50 1.8. It helps you think more about composition too, as you get used to it. You start moving around a lot to frame the shot more creatively, and start using that shallow depth of field more. It's really nice.

Great shots! Really nice work on the close ups. I was the guy that showed up late on the blue bike. It is a 1972 Honda CL450 Scrambler. This was my first C&C event and it was a bit overwhelming. I barely got so see half of the cars there.

Thanks! Awesome bike. I enjoy shooting the details but I try to keep a fresh perspective each time. I know what you mean about it being overwhelming! Sometimes when I'm editing my shots I come across cars that I don't even remember seeing! I think we've been averaging somewhere around 550-600 vehicles each month for most of the year. It's crazy. This is really my first year attending, and I really enjoy it. I drive an ugly old '90s Nissan sentra and I'm not really a gear head, so I contribute my artists eye and photography know-how to the community. A lot of guys really like seeing my shots, so that's fun. Feel free to download that pic of your bike from Flickr. Maybe I'll see you out there again! And thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
